WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration secretly reimposed a policy limiting Congress members’ access to immigration detention facilities a day after a federal immigration officer fatally shot a woman in Minneapolis, attorneys for several congressional Democrats said Monday in asking a federal judge to intervene.
Three Democratic members of Congress from Minnesota were blocked from visiting an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility near Minneapolis on Saturday, three days after an ICE officer shot and killed U.S. citizen Renee Good in the city.
Last month, U.S. District Judge Jia Cobb in Washington, D.C., temporarily blocked ICE from enforcing policies limiting Congress members’ access to immigration detention facilities. In a court filing on Monday, plaintiffs’ lawyers asked Cobb to hold an emergency hearing and decide if the duplicate notice policy violates her order. Cobb scheduled a hearing for Wednesday.
This is absolutely the plan, and he’s going to do it no matter what. He can’t afford to let the House flip, and have a new crop of Progressive, Democratic Reps screaming for MAGA blood, take charge of investigative committees with subpoena and arrest powers. We have NEVER suspended elections in this country, not even during the Civil War or WW2. That’s a BRIGHT RED LINE, that must never be crossed. It is the official end of American democracy, and ends our obligations to this government.
Politicians are the most cowardly animal in the human jungle. When they start to feel fear, they surrender immediately. A perfect example is the Epstein Files. They couldn’t get enough votes for a long time, but when a few MAGAs crossed the aisle, and refused to be intimidated, the rest of MAGA became afraid of being saddled with accusations of covering for Pedophiles, and they ALL voted for it. Even Trump had to go for it.
We have to make them feel like that about Martial Law, and cancelling elections. We have to make it VERY clear to all MAGAs that is is beyond unacceptable to support that, and the personal consequences will be far, far worse than just losing their jobs.
We are starting to see more serious cracks in MAGA. This nonsense about Greenland, and ICE, and Venezuela, and Iran, etc. is starting to get to them. They don’t support any of it, and every day they are forced to defend the indefensible, just to protect the MAGA Grand Extortion Scheme, that doesn’t help them, just the Sociopathic Oligarchs. They have to take the heat, while Trump and his buddies light cigars with embezzled $100 bills. I heard one MAGA Rep say that while we will never hear it from them, ALL of his colleagues are really upset about this mess.
Call your MAGA reps and senators, and tell them you’re a big MAGA supporter, but you didn’t sign up for this at all. Make them believe that their constituents have their backs. Give them the courage to resist MAGA’s worst instincts, and hold the line on elections. We need to tell them that if he cancels elections, we absolutely need House MAGAs to vote for impeachment, and Senate MAGAs to vote for conviction. It’s not about preserving their party any more, it’s about preserving America. Do they want to be the people whom world history will record as giving away America, and the world, to traitors, rapists, and pedophiles?
Make them fear us more than MAGA, and they will dance to our tune, and they are already getting nervous and warming up.
