      Almost nobody has protected speech from an employer. If you say or do something your employer doesn’t like, they can usually out you.

      1st amendment only applies to the government taking action.

      Americans have no rights.

      But the 1st amendment was only about protection from government punishment for speech, nothing about private and interpersonal repercussions.

        I mean worker’s rights like in most civilised countries political activity is in the list of forbidden reasons for retaliation, firing or hiring decisions, amongst race, religion, gender and such.

      Protected from the government, and even then only if it doesn’t cause too many waves with the oligarchs.
