In an email Thursday evening, a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security said that Lunas Campos died after attempting to take his own life.

“Campos violently resisted the security staff and continued to attempt to take his life,” the statement said. “During the ensuing struggle, Campos stopped breathing and lost consciousness. Medical staff was immediately called and responded. After repeated attempts to resuscitate him, EMTs declared him deceased on the scene.”

Ah yes, ye olde suicide by self-strangulation. We sure he didn’t unfortunately fall out of a window?

There is no such thing as defenestration in the US, is there?

I guess they are becoming just like Russia every day.

It would honestly be more difficult to believe that there aren’t psychopathic murderers working for ICE and murdering people.

I’ve always been told by EMTs you treat every single person like they’re treatable and take them to the hospital for a doctor to declare death unless you find them with ‘conditions incompatible with life’ (ex: decapitated). Is that not the case everywhere? Or are they [DHS] lying about that part too?
