Sure, we’re all sick of US politics, but the world order is being upended and democratic institutions are being thrashed. What’s happening in America is spreading like a cancer across the world.
It sucks, but this is the shit sandwich we’re all dealing with right now. And Americans are the ones feeding it to everyone.
Presidents in the past recognized the impacts of their words and actions, that cause global ripple effects. Seems lost knowledge to those in charge now.

It is. America has in recent time had a thing for social divide, coming from both sides, yes, but the whole “cancel culture” thing certainly didn’t help, which was mainly driven by the left. That and a lack of actually competent democratic candidates, they basically made a tinderbox for right wing populism. The left lost the election. For that, yes, you can blame a group for their failure to win an election.
I just added “minneapolis” to my list of content filters and continue living my life. There’s a 21st century land war going on few thousand kilometers from where I live. I just can’t make myself care about US domestic politics.
My block list and filters are constantly being tested and updated. The shear volume of horror leads to things leaking through into my feed unfortunately but it’s usually surrounded by sanity and real human connection.
There’s not going to be much left to block soon.
