Great, now your daily medication will be under the capricious supervision of Trump. Hope you don’t take anything that your life or well-being depends on.

I think that they are going to try to do something with the weight loss drug. Like basically offer it super cheap to win over fat Americans. Cause most of us are over weight. Trump has already mentioned this drug multiple times.

But I really doubt that deal will happen. Some European county (Norway?) owns it. And they won’t budge on the inflated price.

    “…question if it’s a giant scam…”

    Right, ask this one question:
“Does the {whatever} have the word tRUMP involved in or near it or have the obese orange paedo involved or near it?”

If the answer is no, then it’s possibly not a scam.

If it’s a yes then it’s DEFINITELY a scam. Definitely.
No ifs or buts, it’s just a scam. Could be blatant, or disguised very intricately but it’s definitely a scam all the same.

Pretty sure the flow chart for identifying scams goes.

“Is trump in the name?” With yes leading to “it’s a scam”

I wouldn’t say that… there are indeed scams out there that aren’t related to trump… at least not until the scammer gets caught and trump pardons him.

So would be more accurate to say on the ven diagram, the trump circle is completely inside of the scams circle, (though the scams circle is certainly bigger than the trump one).

As an aside, I always hated how Dems completely caved on the terminology of the ACA. They should’ve been saying the words “Affordable Care Act” at every turn, keeping the actual goal of the whole thing more in the popular consciousness. Going along with calling it “Obamacare” implicitly accepted the GOP’s framing of the bill and allowed them to more easily control the narrative.

As I recall, Obama ultimately made peace with the name. He said “I kind of like the name, because I do care!”

Only Republicans would think “Hey, that guy cares!” might be an insult.

It was in keeping with how they totally caved on the actual underlying policy and accepted the GOP’s ideas there too at least

Yeah the Rs were determined to make it as bad as they could so they could point at it later and say how bad it was.

The Dems were also determined to make it as bad as they could so that it wouldn’t affect their donors or rock the boat in any way. That’s why they used Mitt Romneys healthcare plan to “gain bipartisan support” despite it not being needed with zero Republicans voting for it.

We could have had single-payer but instead we’re left with largely the same model we had prior except now more of our tax dollars get funneled to insurance companies in the name of “subsidized healthcare.”

TrumpRX might be the ONLY good thing Trump has ever done for consumers, but I constantly see articles like this and Democrats pick it apart in favor of…our current prescription system?

There’s a reason Mark Cubans cost plus drugs is revolutionary for low income folks and even myself.
