We’ve effectively cured all fires by inoculating ourselves with the “stop drop and roll” vaccine.

The horrors kids go through thinking that a black hole could just suddenly appear in our solar system and eat everything.

I’ve seen quicksand happen at the beach now twice. It’s crazier when you realize it’s not a thing, and then it’s a thing again. The one person called the park people because they thought it should be cordoned off, but conditions have to be just right.

Learning about buoyancy in relation to quicksand is a helluva thing. You panic thinking you’re going to sink and drown but then you stop not even half way and realize it’s just more annoying mud but at the beach.

It was in the dry sand part, not the water, but I get your point. The first person was just walking along and then one of their legs sank to their crotch.

I was never able to figure out what “made” the triangle! I just knew that Bermuda was part of it. Internet didn’t exist back then, so you just kinda moved on when you couldnt find your answer; or pick 2 other places that look good enough and call it a day! Today, seeing this post, finally solved a question from my childhood! 😆

My mom once told me we have pull the roots of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polygonatum Out because it’s a pest plant that grows everywhere.

Naturally I concluded that humanity is involved in an global war against this plant, over who owns this planet and all our lives are at long term risk of losing that war
