Upvoted for visibility, but not because I agree. Oakland doesn’t deserve this.

But MLB’s missing out on all that sweet, sweet, ethics threatening and life destroying gambling money the NFL and NHL are getting…

I’m not surprised but was still holding out some hope they would stay in Oakland. Not really sure how well they will do with attendance in Las Vegas or if the locals will support the team. I would not want to sit through a game, even at night, when the average low is in the low 80’s and the stadium has no roof. Would be funny if the minor league team there draws more fans (providing they too don’t relocate).

They should relocate to Oakland, and then sell more tickets than the As do in Vegas

I feel bad for some little kid who is a fan of the team, it must break their heart. I think about my 6-year old who loves the Orioles.

That is not true. I get the sense you’re unaware of the context here. The As’ owner purposefully defunded the As for years to manufacture a motive to take the team to Las Vegas. That is why things haven’t looked better in Oakland (e.g., more competitive team, stadium upgrades, higher attendance) - the owner’s greed and total disregard for the team and its fanbase
