Also, since we’re talking about Ed FAFO, and update on another deserving FAFO.
The cancellation follows multiple bands dropping off the festival lineup, including the British punk band The Adicts, who noted in a statement that “punk should unify us, not divide us.”
Last year, Punk in the Park was under fire after Celtic punk-rock group Dropkick Murphys announced the Denver edition of the festival would be their last. They said that Punk in the Park’s owner, Cameron Collins of Brew Ha Ha Productions, donated to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, and “punk rock and Donald Trump just don’t belong together.”
Fuck yes. I remember when Dropkick Murphy’s made that announcement and was wondering how this would play out this year.
Yeah, I was very glad when the Murphy’s dropped them like a stone. Plus it freed them up to have a good tour this year.
So many chants of “Fuck Trump”.
ETA: You know who I was very disappointed with? Bad Religion, shame they decided to stay after all of that.
Bad religion staying on really confused and disappointed me
Dropkick Murphys are one of the few groups that inspire hometown pride in me. Forever based ☘️
And they are THE LEAST punk rock band of punk rock bands. Well, maybe GreenDay. But still both of them have been on the right side of everything so that should tell you something about the values of the movement.
What about Greenday?

They’re more punk informed rock than actual punk
The same Adicts that I listened to in the 90s? They’re still alive?!
Yup still around. I think it’s been a while since they release anything new.
It’s older news but there’s been some recent chatter that they’re trying to come back and I hope that punk fans squash them like they used to do to red lacers back in the day.
This is why I stopped listening to Bad Religion. They just kept playing the shows.
