I don’t think you’re understanding me. I’m talking about the original comment. They said:

Like donating time / money / or anything else to help those in need. Don’t need to call out you’re being a good person, just be a good person.

This is the strange analogy part, to me, as you should not do these things quietly. Raising awareness is an important part of partaking in charity.

Let Kid Rock become obsolete in silence -> This part I agree with.

Don’t raise awareness about other acts of charity -> This part I don’t agree with.
