They are all, quite vociferously, against this. Each one of them has individually, and commonly, claimed that, “no, it doesn’t make it easier at all. The jokes may be funnier, but we all still have to live through this shit.” they are insist that they hate this as much as everyone else does. They’re just trying to make the best of it.
My argument was actually that it’s probably harder for satirists to come up with more ludicrous ideas and statements than actual people say in this day and age, not easier.
Then you should have just said that instead of admiring your ideology and politically correct bullshit. Doing that completely made you sound like you’re supporting the Nazis.

Don’t fill in blanks that aren’t there, assume you’re talking with humans, and admit to yourself that you don’t know everything and ask for clarifications. A simple “what do you mean by that comment” would’ve led to a better outcome.
