I was promised a witch hunt if the Democratic party won the midterms.
Must I scatter a trail of breadcrumbs to the wicked crone?

I was told that voting for the Democratic party would guarantee a witch hunt.
Do not disappoint me, Democrats.

No, you don’t understand. Hakeem Jeffries already made plans with Jared Kushner to move forward together so the nation can heal.
Ro Khanna is likely the best candidate for the job.

An empty chair would be better than Hakeem Jeffries.

Just by not being bought and paid for by AIPAC, Ro Khanna would be a much better speaker of the house than Hakeem Jeffries.

The policy change is “If schools don’t allow google slop, they can’t use google search.”
Hopefully it just means that schools use duckduckgo and avoid google search, too. Blocking google (the world’s largest advertising corporation) should be the default policy of all schools, especially public schools.

The only genuine use is accessibility, but it’s purely audio/text recognition.
On that note:
LocalTranslate is an offline translation application that uses Firefox’s neural translation models (from mozilla/firefox-translations-models) to perform high-quality translations locally on your device.

My historically-informed intuition tells me the discrepancy is due to Republican ratfucking.

Last I heard the case was dismissed because his sister refused to submit to a psychiatric evaluation.
In dismissing Annie Altman’s lawsuit, US District Judge Zachary Bluestone wrote that she had refused to appear for an independent medical examination despite warnings that failure to do so would result in the case’s dismissal.
“independent medical examination” in this context means independent of the subject, not neutral or impartial.
It seems an obvious ruse to depict her as crazy so that she either submits to being labeled crazy and the case is thrown out or refuses to be labeled crazy and the case is thrown out.
It’s not as though a psychiatric evaluation can substantiate her claims, only discredit them.

Sam Altman, long the face of the generative AI boom in San Francisco and around the world as the chief executive of multibillion-dollar software startup OpenAI, was pushed out by the company’s board of directors Friday. In a statement, the company said “The board no longer has confidence in his ability to continue leading OpenAI.”
The company’s announcement said the decision came after a review by the board “which concluded that he was not consistently candid in his communications with the board, hindering its ability to exercise its responsibilities.”
They re-hired him afterward because apparently OpenAI can only keep up appearances when helmed by a chronic liar.
This is by no means to agree with him, but it occurs to me that his position is but a matter of degree from the bloatware enthusiasts’ mantra: “Unused RAM is wasted RAM!”
You can tell because he has too many teeth in his mouth.

I’ll just say it’s an obituary and be confident that I won’t need to say more.

It’s just forward secrecy, not “perfect forward secrecy”, unless you are writing Signal press material. (Edit: Parent comment was edited to use the correct term.)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forward_secrecy
I feel that such marketing can impart a false sense of security that has bitten Session users many a time. Ask Pete Hegseth, as much as I like to see him faceplant.
Not relying on the central server largely removes the need for forward security, since you can get a similar result by creating a new account (with a new private key) on your device as often as you like. It is Signal’s reliance on a fixed identity that complicates the matter of rotating keys.
In other words, Signal is not better because it has “perfect forward secrecy”. It is worse because it needs it.
Even so, it is such a talking point that Session does intend to implement “perfect forward secrecy”.

As for “store all messages in a blockchain”, I believe that is the alternative to storing them on a central server, as Signal does. They have to be stored somewhere until you are online to receive them. If they weren’t, someone would be replying in your stead and complaining that Session does not allow users to receive messages sent while they were offline. Of course the messages are stored encrypted in both cases but only Signal associates them with your metadata.
I find it strange that you condemn Session’s use of a blockchain but are apparently unconcerned by Signal’s bundling a cryptocurrency wallet and linking it to users’ Signal accounts.

Why run Signal when Session is right there? Maybe you just like leaking metadata?
