It’s a good start but these are rookie numbers.

Let’s say 50% worldwide for Q2? Feels quite achievable

You realize China had growth for 2025, not a decline? Expecting such a dramatic turn around seems unrealistic given it’s their 2nd largest market.

That tiny growth, also wipes out maybe 3 or 4 of those big scary 50% drops in the EU.

Hey look, I’m part of this statistic! I think, assuming it factors in used EV sales.

Loving it so far, I get free charging at work and access to the HOV lane as a solo driver. My commute has gone down by about 15 minutes as well.

You are not - it’s year over year sales of new EVs.

Congrats anyway on getting an electric. I’ve been surprised at how little stress it’s been, given how much emphasis has been placed on the downsides. I definitely won’t be going back to gas.

Can confirm, I’ve also refused to get a Tesla and have a smaller EV (Peugeot 208) and listening to reviews etc you’d think they’re unusable due to the “tiny” range but it’s not been my experience at all. In practice as long as you stay on top of your charging at home/street you’re never gonna have to charge it in daily life. We’ve done a couple long trips with it too and it’s a bit more stopping but totally manageable as well, in fact very enjoyable,I get to destination much more refreshed since I’m stopping more and the driving assistance makes the highway a breeze.

Dang, I did a Ctrl + F on used but should have considered that as an indicator lol.

A couple weeks after getting it I took it on a 1800 mile road trip. The one I got is a '22 Chevy Bolt EUV, the DC fast charge tech is slower than newer stuff and even older Tesla stuff (caps out at 50KW), but honestly that wasn’t that noticeable except toward the end when I started getting impatient. ABRP (A Better Route Planner) and the NACS adapter were definitely confidence boosters.

Hyundai and their sister company Kia make some great EVs! I drive one (Kona EV) and I’m very happy with it.

I’m not sure what you mean by “Electra” though… they have Elantra but that’s only ICE or hybrid as far as I know. Maybe I’m missing an inside joke or something :)

It’s a sarcastic made up name. My sister drives a Kona. But yeah basically non Tesla electrics shine at not having a nazi CEO.

Could be bumped by people trying to buy before tariffs make an impact and the EV tax credits go away. I wish I was in that group but not ready to pull the trigger financially right now.
