Maybe I’m not explaining myself well enough:

I drive 15 MPH over the speed limit in the right lane, so that people don’t tailgate me (but as I’ve pointed out, they still do anyway). I pass on the left, unless they’re illegally blocking the passing lane, doing the speed limit. In which case I have no choice but to pass on the right. I give people a chance to switch lanes but they rarely do. People like to just pick a random lane and drive one speed in it the entire time, completely unaware of their surroundings. Except when they don’t.

Maybe you live in an area where drivers are consistent and courteous, but I don’t. Drivers are all over the place, which is why I have to be adaptable. Everything is made up and the rules don’t matter where I live.

Ok ok I think you’re alright. Your first comment was like “I never slow down nor switch my cruise control even in the inner city and just overtake around people instead because I drive a sport car…” lmao

I didn’t say that I “never slow down”. I was just pointing out that it’s irritating having to slow down and speed up all the time. I rather just change lanes so I can maintain my speed.

The point I’m making is that I don’t understand why people like OP would rather take the wrong exit than simply change lanes to get to where they need to be. If you’re afraid to change lanes, then your mirrors are probably set incorrectly. It also couldn’t hurt to buy blind spot mirrors if your car doesn’t have them (or at least blind spot monitors). They’re only about $3.

And if you’re still afraid, then you shouldn’t be driving at all. Scared drivers are dangerous drivers.
