      “It’s complicated”

I’ll repeat my reply from yesterday since the nuanced Weasel here perfectly embodies what I said about those X complainers.
All his reasons are egocentric and about his own cancer country.
One step away from unironically blaming the use of X for anti-genocide posts as the reason for the price of eggs.

They don’t care about genocide or anything that’s outside their navelstaring country. Yesterday the libs complained about an anti-genocide post here bcs they used X. The blue MAGA battle against red MAGA is way more important to them. All they want is to go back to their bubble of ‘democracy’ where they keep the fascism for their foreign policy.

      Fuck that whole country

If I have to choose between one race and two races or more being exterminated I’m “nuanced” enough not to pick two and be a supercilious fuckwit about it, if that’s what you mean.

In what way is picking zero an option?

Nobody is against genocide enough in leadership, that’s a fact. Not voting for either party is the same as voting for the worst of the choices available. Nobody likes to do damage control, but that’s what it is until better choices are on the table. Supporting the techno fascist empire to get a blue check in their ecosystem, generally not voting or acting against tyranny however you can, and just bitching into the void is a miscarriage of your goals.

“Picking zero” is doing nothing and patting yourself on the back for it.

By not voting for genocide and instead a third party.

The only made up option was pretending there are now two genocides. Which was fake.

You might as well write on your own name as do the third party vote in an election year.

There are 3 other years to go stump for third parties and see if they can take a viable shot. When they clearly can’t, evidenced by the fact no third party even got enough support to enter into the debates, there’s nothing to do but be pragmatic.

You’ve got to do the best you can with what you’ve got at every stage because the moral high ground doesn’t control any seats in any government, write any laws, or generally solve your problems. Maybe you sleep better at night (I hope you do), but that is the only perk you get as far as I can tell.

We would probably both complain about other people being single issue on topics like abortion, guns, and religion. This is not so different.

And the fact that the ironically-named Democrats rig their primaries.

Third parties have exactly nothing to do with D primaries, even though your statement is correct. Fuck Debbie Wasserman Shultz in particular, the last decade could have gone a lot differently.

No you can let the Democrats lose and show them that they won’t win while supporting genocide. That will force them to pivot.

I guess we will see what happens next run if there is a fair one. I hope you prove me wrong, but I just pretty strongly doubt it.

We’re already seeing a massive pivot. The only reason most Democrats didn’t care about genocide is because they were too scared to lose if they actively opposed it. Now that they see that they will lose if they don’t actively oppose it, suddenly we see a surge in popularity of figures like Mamdani.

It’s sad that it required Democrat voters losing for genocide to be waken up from the illusion of being able to win with ‘the lesser evil’ mentality
