With the help of local photographer Keith Willis, I snapped my first photos of the tiny burrowing owl. This morning we found the bird relatively hidden within the gap of an abandoned railway switch, not easily spotted (and I just assumed I wouldn’t find such a bird in an urban / industrial stretch of San Pedro, CA).
