Even without the VPN, I had a restaurant app in the middle of ordering just bug out and order my food item from like 50 miles away that I had been at during a little trip a couple weeks prior (wasn’t even the most recently visited one) . Did it silently and I ended up ordering and no recourse to refund, so that was it for trying to deal with that restaurant.

Another restaurant throughout my order process repeatedly kept saying “we have changed your pickup location and pricing has been updated” and kept trying to go to somewhere uselessly far away. Gave up, but at least I appreciated that their app was obnoxiously up in my face while it was screwing around so I didn’t get an unpleasant surprise.

If movies have taught me anything, it’s that this photo should be way more yellow.

I am pretty sure food apps care less where the location of your IP is. Like 95% sure.
