I remember growing up in the 90’s being told by friends, family members and teachers that I don’t need or deserve help because everything is easier for a man, or being told by my boss that she won’t promote men because she doesn’t trust men with money, or women being mean to me because of my gender and then telling me it’s payback for things they read men did to women decades ago. And then when I try to talk about these experiences, people telling me they don’t believe me, or they didn’t happen, or they don’t matter.

And I remember, as a kid, saying “one day there’s gonna be a whole generation of boys who grew up around women like you, and they’re going to want payback”.

Well here we are. Keep blaming internet propaganda.

It absolutely does matter if you observed systemic violence against men. That’s hard to prove, though, and a string of personal anecdotes and hearsay is just not going to be enough, I’m afraid. I might even partially agree with your post, but large parts of it seem exaggerated to the point of a caricature, strawman-like, cherry-picked, over-generalized, redditesque… Sounds more like venting, really. And that’s not helping your argument. You’d be well-advised to dig up much better evidence for what it is you want to prove.

Same. Graduated in 2000 and thought that except for extreme right-wing cults everyone accepted each other. Lol guess that’s still true today 😂

That’s an extremely specific series of events. Either you made it up, or you’re really unlucky, because that is not the experience of most men. Not once have I experienced even one of those things.

        it was my experience too.

as a working class guy who got into an ivy league school… my entire life i was told how i ‘didn’t deserve’ it, and how i ‘stole it’ from someone more deserving. everyone in my life talked me down and down and down, and now i’m middle aged and now all i hear is that i’m both a rich asshole, and a poor piece of shit and that i need to give all my money to women, or i need to earn more money to give more money to women.

the only people who ever supported me in my life in a positive way… were working class men who also put themselves through college. everyone else endless shit on me no matter how much i achieved or how hard i worked.

Who on Earth would tell you to give money to women specifically? Sounds like a strawman if I ever heard one.

They might ask you to give your money to the poor, because they need it way more than you. But never something gender specific.

I’m not the one who needs to prove his assertion.

Maybe it’s a bunch of bullshit that that guy made up to justify his imagined victimhood?

He dated his “experiences” in the 90s, you fucking dumbass. Lol. You guys are so stupid! How the fuck is that an explanation for the political trends of the last few years?

You guys lie so much, you’d think you’d be good at it by now.

Same here. '94, not much older than this dude and grew up in an overwhelmingly conservative gender-role following country and still nothing like what this dude is describing. I don’t know where all these butthurt men are coming from lately but they need to get their shit together and stop whining. I don’t see women whine like this. This is not even a gender thing anymore at this point. It’s just immature overdramatic behavior.

If you try to fit in progressive spaces, you get told that everything you do is wrong. It may also be true, I don’t exclude this.
But there is no compassion, no good faith. One would rather opt for the group that does not complain about him all the time.

You only get told you do something wrong when you do something wrong.

How about you learn from it instead of claiming that is all you do?

i have been progressive my entire life.

however, the desperate need to exclude men and see them as inherently evil is a more recent issue. like the past 10 years. in the 2000s i never encountered this outside of extremists… now it’s mainstream in liberal spaces to basically view men as evil and awful inherently. the only ‘good men’ are those who subordinate themselves entirely to the leftist hypocracies and deny their masculinity as evil.
