Calculating the actual savings and impact of the bulldozing US department that vowed to cut $1tn in waste is difficult

What they did is forcibly enter places they weren’t supposed to be allowed access to and take over their systems. Incidentally, most of those places held data owned by groups with regulatory authority over some or all of his businesses.

I’m still convinced it was a cover to steal every bit of internal data on every American to supply Musks xAI venture in an attempt to get an advantage over the other AI firms.

They just backdoored or snagged a DB dump on every possible database they could get their hands on and gave it to Palantir (and who knows who else, but probably also the FSB, Mossad, and possibly MSS). That was the mission. That was what they did. They fully got away with it.

And it’s not over. All those systems are compromised, one day they’ll hopefully realize that they have to start from scratch.

It’s a feature, not a bug. That way you can’t disprove the made-up numbers they use.

They gutted USAID which in turn caused thousands to starve in other countries. So that’s fun.

For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.

No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.

Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.
