Actually I didn’t even make the connection but on my way back from protesting my local ICE facility last night (which you should all be doing by the way) dude tried to back up into me. I chose to just slowly move out of the way (and flip him off of course) but I guess according to DHS I should have started blasting instead?

Isn’t it the “Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System”? It doesn’t need to make that noise when not in motion, but Tesla does it anyways for some dumb reason. So obnoxious compared to the sounds that other EVs do when in motion.
Ok. I didn’t know that but you are probably right. I think it’s only the Teslas that are just sitting still and doing that awful hum. I’m ok with the hum for a moving vehicle so I hear it coming. But, when one is just sitting still humming it’s infuriating.
Honestly, even the best ones sound like the stupidest version of a cartoon spaceship. Tesla’s are definitely the worst I’ve heard though.

I don’t know how old most folks on here are, but on 9/11 I was a sophomore in college in upstate NY. Our entire culture changed over night. The 90s were truly over and a new, dark, dystopian world began to emerge in a way that previously privileged folks in this country could feel viscerally.
Some of my friends didn’t come back from the wars. Others did but they lost their souls along the way. Bin Laden could not have possibly been more successful in what he was trying to do.
I was 23. I remember.
I was in a crib. I feel nostalgia for an era I never existed in. But the more I learn about our country’s real history, the more I realize that our governments hands were never clean, we were just more insulated from it

If this guy was so traumatized by the idea of being run over he wouldn’t be standing directly in front of a car.
He was clearly standing next to the car when he shot Mrs. Good in the face, murdering her. He followed up calling her a “fucking bitch” which can only be considered an aggravating circumstance indicative of a potential hate crime.
The government is protecting a murderer, and calling an innocent woman with no criminal history whatsoever a “terrorist”.

One thing pisses me off is how little effort they put into their lies. Like they have a set of MAGA fridge magnets. Mostly it’s just “Tren de Aragua” over and over again. Not in this case though because, you know, she was “white”. They really went the extra mile, inventing a special narrative just for her. Ugh, I feel dirty now and I hate my own cynicism.
