There were lots of people who said the Dems wouldn’t prosecute the Jan 6 Traitors, and more than 1000 of them ended up sentenced, and MANY went to jail.
That’s the point though isn’t it? They went after all the small fry they let the big fish go and now he’s back in office causing even more chaos than he ever could have in his first term. In fact, I don’t think he could have done half as much damage as he has if he had gotten a second term immediately after his first. Instead he and his cohorts had four years to plan what to do once they took the White House back.
The Democrats had grown a backbone and prosecuted that fucker in the four years they had we wouldn’t be in this goddamn mess.
Oh, yeah, don’t even get me started. Biden came out of the gate with a Covid Vax program and an Economic Stimulus Plan that were wildly successful, and would have put him on the Top 15 among presidents.
But then he appointed the most feckless Republican in existence to be his AG and go after the biggest National Security Threat since the Civil War, and he dithered and slow-walked it for 2 years, allowing Trump to run out the clock. For that unbelievable failure, Biden will be relegated to the Bottom 15 among presidents.
We simply cannot allow that to happen a second time. If the Dems won’t act, the people will, and then weakling Dems will go down right along with them.
I agree, but Biden should have shown true leadership, and aggressive action against Trump and his henchmen.
When Biden took the oath of office, we ALL had watched the outrageous Insurrection only a few weeks before. The moment he stepped off the podium after taking the oath, Biden would have been well within his Constitutional and Presidential right to order the detainment of Trump and everyone involved in the Insurrection - his chief of staff, his children (who were all on scene), all those who spoke on the stage that day, etc.
That would have shown strength and leadership, and is EXACTLY what a Republican would have done. By not doing it, MAGA took it as cowardice and weakness (which it absolutely was), and amped up their abuse.
The Biden set the tone for his term, and it was weak, cowardly, indecisive, and insipid, and he will be deservedly reviled by history for it.

It wasn’t just Biden. The entire democratic party was complicit in allowing what is happening now.
