Pure propaganda. The driver was likely one of them that radioed for assistance. So they came and, coincidentally, “noticed a man experiencing car trouble,” right where he told them he’d be.

Or, the entire thing was staged. Remember, this is the party that invented the concept of “paid crisis actors.”.

Liars never seem to figure out that, once we know that they’re liars, we don’t believe a fucking thing they say, because, why should we?

Like those clips of people pushing a shark back into the ocean off the beach. They never show the part where they hooked it and reeled it out of the ocean. “Look at us saving this shark!”

I mean… yeah that does happen.

I’ve caught a shark on accident, and pulled it in so I could remove the hook and release it. I don’t find it fun, but it’s better than just cutting the line and leaving a barbed piece of metal in the animal.

I also don’t generally practice “catch and release” fishing. I fish for food (mostly crappie) because I think catch and release is just being a dick to fish for no reason.

I don’t go to the ranch and shoot deer in the leg, get a few pics, then send it onnits way, so why would I do the same to fish?

ICE’s feed says that they did this jump start thing, but let’s get real. It probably never happened.

These are the same people who lied and said that an officer suffered internal bleeding after he clearly didn’t get hit by anything. These are the same people who lied and said that they killed a man who was brandishing a weapon threateningly and their agents feared for their lives despite the fact that he never touched the gun and was disarmed at the time of the shooting.

If ICE says something that benefits themselves, then I have no reason to believe it’s true. This is the slant to take whenever you get any information from a source of propaganda.

That’s a picture of ICE agents walking near a car with jumper cables connected. Maybe they saw somebody getting jumped and photobombed. Maybe they just used one of their own cars and the entire scene is staged.

Even in the extremely remote possibility that they actually did something to make another person’s life easier, they ruined it by taking pictures of it. That would mean that they only helped as PR.

There is no reason to believe when a known propagandist tells you something like this. You should first expect them to lie or distort the truth.

That ICE guy totally didn’t know how to use the jumper cables. “With help from another community member”, pictures with ICE guy standing around watching.

          What??? No!

Dead batteries can off-gas hydrogen sulfide, which can be explodey. Also, you don’t know what issues a “dead” battery might be experiencing. There could be a broken post, which could lead to sparks inside of the battery. This is why if there’s going to be a spark, you’d rather it be on the battery that’s less likely to emit hydrogen sulfide, and you want to be away from the battery that’s more likely to go boom or spray.

So, connect the hot dead nipple first, then the hot live nipple. Then the live common (negative, neutral) nipple, and finally, some grounded spot on the dead body. This way, you can avoid sparks near the dead nipples, and possible explosions.

To further the human body metaphor:
One of the reasons you connect the negative jumper cable to bare metal on the car instead of the negative battery post is that terminals corrode and you might not get a good connection with an alligator clamp, but something grounded to the car probably has a decent connection. Similarly, the reason you place AED pads so far from each other on someone is because you’re creating a setup where the heart is somewhere within that path. Could you use less power and cause less damage if the pads were more local to the heart? Yes. But you can’t guarantee accurate placement. So, you pump up the juice, and use any somewhat adjacent known “grounding” point.

“Here, buddy. Hold this one in that hand and that one in the other hand. You want to make sure the metal doesn’t touch, so you should probably hold on tight to the copper tips so you know they can’t touch each other. OK? You have a good grip? Good. I’ll connect my leads to the battery now.”

Yeah, when any kind of law enforcement shows up anywhere, I just want to get out of there. You never know if his boss just chewed him out, or his wife chewed him out, or his mistress chewed him out, or some citizen chewed him out, etc., but in any case, he’s probably pissed off, and looking to take it out on the first person that makes eye contact.

When a cop walks in, your chances of dying of a gunshot wound in the next few minutes just went up 1000%.

    No thanks, Imma bounce.

Just as a PSA, factually.co doesn’t have human fact checkers, it’s all AI. In this instance the headline is correct, but it’s always better to use something written by a person if it’s information you care about.

Thank fuck that’s done by humans. The idea of using AI for obituaries sounds intensely disrespectful. Like, “Hey, we loved you, but not enough to actually write something loving about you.”

If somebody uses AI to write mine, I’d go haunting the shit out of whoever made that decision.

What a nice wholesome interaction with the masked paramilitary kidnap force.

Imagine, if this really happened, this guy didn’t know who they were and didn’t know anything about ice and was like “I really appreciate you guys who are you guys anyway?”

    “We’re ice”

“Oh I don’t know who that is. What brings you to town?”

“We’re here to kidnap men, women and children and put them in cages”

    “Uh…”

“Yeah, you hear about that guy who got held down and shot in the back of the head execution style?”

“I did hear something about that. We’re you there to help him…?”

“Haha. No, we’re the ones that shot him. That’s why we wear these masks”

“Oh I thought you had those because it’s cold”

“Haha no no no no. It’s because we don’t want people to be able to identify us and hold us accountable for our crimes.”

    “Uh…I really gotta go”

“Sure thing buddy. Hey, before you go. You don’t happen to know any brown people do you?”

“Nope, sure don’t. Gotta go. Byeee!”

Listen, if a man beats his wife even once, let alone multiple times, but he also helps her fix her car, he’s still a wife-beating piece of shit.
An abuser is an abuser. It doesn’t matter how nice he is the other times.

Id believe this really happened, doesn’t fucking change anything though

If there were any decent people who were ICE agents, they would’ve resigned months ago. And that’s a big if, I’m just a lot more charitable than most
