I don’t really think she is trying to do the right thing. She was Trumps biggest ally for YEARS while he did some of the worst things, you could think of and she most likely knew about the Epstein stuff way before this and actively covered it up. I think, the reason she is doing this is because she recognized that Trump is a sinking ship and she is trying to take advantage of that for her own gain. Maybey she wants to run for president in the future or at least be the loyal companion of one. If she were to continue defending Trump for everything his admin does, she would sink with him, so she tries to get out.
Sometimes, even basically evil people have a line they won’t cross. Deceiving the public and corrupting the rule of law beyond repair, just to protect a cabal of pedophile rapists, seems to be that line, for an alarmingly small number of republicans. I guess she just didn’t think it would come to that. MTG is probably just your basic greedy racist vindictive kind of evil. I think MTG is loyal to “her people”. She’s fine when “other people” are hurt, but Epstein and his co-conspirators hurt white, Christian, American girls.
