I dunno back in the day Unions weren’t above using violence to get their message across.
Being willing to commit property destruction is a minimum requirement of a union imo.
Being willing to dispose of a boss in a ditch is a minimum requirement for a good union. Actually doing the property destruction is another minimum.
Unfortunately, I don’t believe we have many or any good unions left.

Well it was usually in response to an escalation of violence by the State
An even better union would have done it a decade or two ago.
