Hmm, so sounds like they’re moving the kernel scheduler down to a hardware layer? Basically just better smp?
Infrastructure nerd, gamer, and Lemmy.ca maintainer

Same for Samsung afaik. Pop into the bootloader and just wipe everything.
I share my jellyfin with my mom
Self hosting email is even more of a pain.

Maybe? Tweaking my channels solved all my random drops.
This doesn’t work on the latest firmware FYI.
I use this to run an instance of Hyperion on the tv to run leds on the back of it, that dynamically change color to match the show. Since it’s native on the tv it works in jellyfin or my pc hdmi cable.
For me running jellyfin in the tv works so well, it’s worth giving it network access.
Svn? It’s not 2002 anymore.
Onedrive or dropbox would work well. Otherwise if you want source control, git would be the way to go.
Images come from their origin, but I think thumbnails are cached on your instance.
If it’s just a private instance, your storage needs will be way less. We use object storage, so it’s actually pretty cheap (like $5-10 a month iirc). We’re not storing that all on the server disk.
I can tell you that for lemmy.ca we use 778gb
This is now fixed in v0.0.40, go update!
As an additional data point, I’ve never once had trouble seeing the HUD on my Mazda even while driving into the sun.
Check out https://pilotinstitute.com/aviation-accident-causes/ for some data. It’s significant.
Flying commercial is the safest way to travel, period. Flying GA is far from it.
AOPA also has a ton of data: https://www.aopa.org/training-and-safety/air-safety-institute/accident-analysis/richard-g-mcspadden-report/mcspadden report figure view?category=all&year=2021&condition=all&report=true
FYI, Canada requires immobilizer by law. We can’t be used to compare to other countries for that reason.
Tell me about it. Github goes from $4 to $21 per user per month, and the only feature I want is sso.
Maybe if slack didn’t have an SSO tax, it wouldn’t be an issue.
Only if you’re talking commercial aviation. General aviation has a much higher incident rate.

Safer than a motorcycle, barely.
People will say aviation is super safe. They should be saying commercial aviation is super safe.
Most accidents are pilot error, and pilots with a personal license do not typically have nearly as much training as a commercial pilot.
With a good instructor it’s a lot of fun though and I highly recommend.
Would be nice if it explains exactly what it does. Right now it’s just a random web app asking for creds…
