definitely. i’ve had humans copy my drawings and then claim that they made them and it feels the same as people claiming to be ai artists….

anyone can be an artist… but it’s not easy and privilege definitely helps.
but i’m not an artist because i want to be, it’s because i have to be or id have killed myself by now. literally.
people tell me im lucky, or naturally talented, or they’re jealous… but in most cases, great art comes from suffering. i have skills through thousands of hours of practice… i have vision because my mind is fucked up… because of severe childhood burns and fucked up unresolved issues that i cope with through art… and i’ve never been very privileged (although compared to a lot of people, still privileged).

i don’t mind ai images, and have had fun playing with it myself… i mind people pretending that fucking around with an ai prompt makes them like me… it doesn’t….

it’s like DJ’s that just stack other people’s loops together and call themselves musicians….
