Exactly, this will just be ignored by the media bubble they willingly live in, and they’ll never hear about it. If asked about it they’ll say that if it were actually something worth discussing then they’d see it in the news.

I’m trying to imagine being able to decide whether to raise my family in Denmark or Mississippi and choosing Mississippi. His in-laws must be lovely.

That would be fine if the current administration were actually deporting and not imprisoning. If he ends up getting on a plane it’ll either be to El Salvador or to the Sudan. It’s naive to think that they’ll just send him to Denmark.
Well that’s what they’ve done to several Canadians who they’ve grabbed (after keeping them in immigration detention centers for several weeks). They eventually sent them back to Canada.
Then that needs the question, why then are they sending people to these prisons in a country that they are not from? It’s almost like we somehow got sent back to the 1930s and playing out what would have happened if instead of Germany the United States decided to be the bad guys.
The answer, sadly, is plain and simple racism/discrimination.
Non-Hispanic Caucasians are getting deported to their county of origin (eventually). Hispanics and non-Caucasians are being sent to foreign prisons. Shit’s fucked up.
