I fucking love it. I’ll never understand people who hate birdsong, no matter what time. Are your windows really that thin? Relax and enjoy something nature provides for free at no cost to you whatsoever.

In a previous house, the sound insulation wasn’t great due to the necessity of a window AC unit. Outside of my window apparently lived a bird who had learned to imitate my alarm and had no regard for timing.
I agree that birdsong can be quite lovely. I do not agree that it is universally so.
It’s kind of difficult to relax and enjoy something when it is a seagull going IIIIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIIIII for 10min straight without a single pause, just outside your bedroom window, at 5am.
