No they fucking don’t. They have zero fucking days. Time is up and they DON’T CARE, they - the country of freedom - demonstrably want this.

They have no fuckign clue what to do. Nobody teaches you how to oppose a fascist dictatorship and there are zero leaders doing so. It’s an entire damn education and skills training regime that people are too desperately poor to afford to figure out individually.

Have you seen how people online react when you float the idea of strikes (or really anything beyond parades masquerading as protests) as a method of resistance? The vast majority of Americans demonstrably don’t care enough about fascism to do something about it. By the way the word isn’t “oppose;” it’s “overthrow.”

The inability, for those who do want to act, to get together is a major hurdle. We’re all surrounded by people who don’t care or can’t care. People wouldn’t feel so helpless if they actually found each other and came together regularly to talk, share info, suggest ideas, teach each other. There’s no reason a portion of the dem party cant self organize and start demanding real action, no party lines, no acceptance of the status quo.

It’s these fucking organizers ISTG, I haven’t seen anything serious planned except a protest at a park every 3 months. We saw how many people showed up to no kings yet the organizers behind no kings cannot be bothered to call for a strike or more frequent protests.

I mean, what makes those organizers special? They’re just people who decided to do a thing; none of what they’re doing can’t be replicated by someone else. If the problem is the organizers, then you or someone you know should be able to organize something better.

France taught us well. Americans love their lumberjacks, you can make a lot of guillotines with that.

I’m sorry you are already so defeated about our chances. Why don’t you just stand aside and collect yourself rather than try to demoralize the rest of us?

America demoralizes every friend and former ally and threatens WWIII.

We are aside, watching America do nothing after decades of bragging about how free you were and how willing you were to stick up for it.

There is no “rest of us” for us outsiders. America is doing this just like Russia invaded Ukraine and Israel is committing genocide, not some of their people.

I wish you wouldn’t generalize the whole nation like this. Yes, roughly 1/3 of people voted for trump. Of those, a smaller number actually knew what they were doing and the ramifications of it, the rest just watch fox news and never leave their house. Not a good excuse but also not exactly willful hate.

Then there about a third who don’t have time, money, or mental energy to drop everything and try to start a resistance full time. They still have too much to lose and just want to wait this out.

Then there’s the rest of us actively trying to improve things as best we can through community organizing, resistance efforts, protesting and counter protesting, etc. We aren’t professionals, we aren’t perfect at it, but we are also not lying down and taking it. Sure, we could all just leave, but I don’t think anyone in the world wants to see what America would be like without ANY resistance to this, even assuming we had the funds to move and would be accepted by any other country.

It is depressing and often feels powerless to live here right now. We hate it and want to fix it however we can, and some of us are ready to sacrifice everything to do it. America is NOT (and never had been) a political monolith, and we extremely all do not support trump (look at his approval ratings if nothing else). The sane people here are largely ignored because our views aren’t really represented by either main party and don’t make the cut of the billionaire controlled news media who wants to keep it that way.

Beyond all of this, no one deserves to be personally blamed for the actions of their countries worst politicians simply for existing in the same physical space. Especially those of us fighting against it however we can

You’re not helping. You might be worse than the idiots. You have the awareness to see what is happening, and this is how you respond.

TBF, the alternative is to wait a bit more and see how the situation evolves and if the midterm change something.

Everyone’s telling you: react now. The close future/midterm won’t change anything.

The message is more a call to action, rather than anything… Stop waiting.

The whole reason we’re in this is mess is people’s apathy and insisting the only thing they can do is vote for warmongering Democrats. Everyone is just working their jobs and living their life normally, when they should be out in the streets demanding heads on spikes.
