Jimmy Kimmel is more popular than Donald Trump, a new poll has found, following a public showdown between the two men that resulted in the talk show host being briefly taken off-air.

The survey, conducted by YouGov, asked respondents if they held favorable opinions of both men.

When asked about Kimmel, 44 percent said they had a favorable opinion of the comedian, while 41 percent said they did not. Fifteen percent said they were undecided, giving Kimmel a net favorability of +3.

I had never paid much attention to Kimmel, (or any late night host personality) but sure I’ll watch Kimmel now.

I don’t think he’s funny and I actually think he’s kind of a weenie and I don’t like him very much as a person, but I actively watched his return episode and now I let his show run in the background to boost viewership.

Don’t really know how else to participate in the revolution, I’m pretty useless, but if I can contribute to trump having a tempertantrum, that’s wonderful !

His into monologues are always fun. Most of the late night guys have good shows. Except Fallon. That guy sucks pure ass.

I’m kind of lukewarm on Fallon. I dip in every once in a while, but he’s just way too “centrist” for my liking. This is the guy that tousled Taco’s hair just before the 2016 election, right? So the fact that he still seems to be way too apolitical now is not all that surprising. I’m not sure he sucks ass, I usually just watch everything else and then maybe him if I get to it…

The joke of these polls is that if their rolls were reversed, I’m more than confident that Trump would outpoll Kimmel.

The Jester is always going to be more popular than the King. That’s why the job exists.

Or people just don’t like a pedophile, who’s also been convicted of what like 30+ felonies, and who is currently trying to destroy the country.

If Jimmy ALSO was like that then I could totally see the roles being reversed and people being in favor of the guy with significantly less power. However even with no power trump is still one of the worst people there is.

Or people just don’t like a pedophile

We know that’s not true. Hollywood is choke full of them.

If Jimmy ALSO was like that

Jimmy’s entire early career was getting 13 year olds horny and laughing about it. Nevermind the age bracket of “Women Jumping on Trampolines”. Kimmel and Carolla walked right up to the edge all the time.

What’s the point of words like favorable opinion when it results in a 16 point split between a late show comedian and a Nazi conman?

I don’t know what opinion means, or what it means for people to state their answer, other than the superficial takeaway that they produced noises xyz when prompted with question 123. And? Is there any solid ground here to build on top of?

I mean, a half eaten gas station taco after I’ve already had lunch is more popular than Trump, let’s not make a martyr of this sub par comedian.

I used to really enjoy his unnecessary censorship bit. I thought the idea was clever and the execution yielded some funny results. No idea if they still do that and whether it is still funny.

ABC finally chose the right side. I fully expect Apple, MSFT, Google etc to do the same.

You are expecting too much. The tech giants got an axe to grind. They “suffered” from FTC investigations under Biden. That’s why they are colluding with Trump to look the other way. Many tech giants are also embedding themselves in to the military to furnish and fortify themselves with more political power.

This should not shock anyone. Did someone really think Kimmel was anywhere near as polarizing a figure as The Orange Jesus?

    Most normal Americans despise Taco.

Are they trying to manufacture consent for a Kimmel Presidency run? Kimmel numbers are not great, Trump’s number are just worse.
