If you don’t, no need to reply telling me you don’t. I live in the woods with some critters. I live pretty far from neighbors/police so having a gun gives me peace of mind. I also hunt and consider myself a gun hobbiest. I enjoy shooting targets, cleaning/organizing, reloading and earning food with guns.
Frequently drive multiple hours through BFE in some very meth infested country. Go camping in national forest lands every other week during the summer where cougars abound. And in the case of my parents, ranch pest control and something to make use of the landowner permit deer tag they get once in a while.
I don’t carry in town vast majority of the time, for obvious reasons, but I’ve got plenty of reasons to have a couple firearms. They are useful tools like any other. Also high precision target shooting is fun af.
