Typical American cartoon. The world is bigger than the US. Thanksgiving celebrates the US genocide, the rest of the world doesn’t do that.

The planning and execution of the genocide, before people actually started dying.

So it’s not celebrating all the people dying, but the successful plan of convincing the ones they were about to kill they were actually a good, caring and giving person while in fact they just future-killed them by giving them a fatal disease. “Those were my ancestors! We should honor them by slaughtering loads of turkeys to show we’re capable of doing the same.”

Exactly! Around here, around the same time, we celebrate the story of how some dude didn’t wanna become bishop, so he hid within a flock of geese, but the geese started to make noise and the dude was found and appointed bishop against his will! As a result, to punish the damn geese, we eat duck…

They’re hovering over North America. Bert is clearly their US operative. They’re probably about to check in with Roberto down in Mexico after having just finished with Barthelemy in the Canada office.

And then a week later we have idiots playing with loud and colorful explosives, in an apparent effort to scare all the animals and start forest fires…

“What about the rampant fascism and cruelty?”

“Oh, that shit’s everywhere. Nothing unusual about it.”

It’s not all bad. If you’d gone door to door last month, you could have gotten some free candy.

Just wait until they find out about the Easter Bunny. That poor rabbit has to lay millions of eggs just for one silly day…

Why do they care what we do with our dead?

If they were alive pumpkins and turkeys, then I could understand the concern, but these are dead things.

Absolute worst case we have bizarre funerary rituals.
