I live on the border, and when I moved here, I was surprised to see that the light was actually kind of sepia toned for real. The Northern Mexican dust really adds a visible tint sometimes. Don’t get me wrong, it isn’t as extreme as this picture unless there is a dust storm, but it is noticeable.
I love that even when they use Mexico to stand in for a different location they still apply the “Mexican Yellow” lens filter.
