I still find it hilarious that all the “blackface controversy” happened, and they keep busting out the white actors doing Othello in blackface.
Patrick Stewart did Othello. He didn’t do any fucking blackface.
I love that even when they use Mexico to stand in for a different location they still apply the “Mexican Yellow” lens filter.
I live on the border, and when I moved here, I was surprised to see that the light was actually kind of sepia toned for real. The Northern Mexican dust really adds a visible tint sometimes. Don’t get me wrong, it isn’t as extreme as this picture unless there is a dust storm, but it is noticeable.
Some say you can still find Crusher in that desert to this very day
