Shit, man, I cry at poignant songs or movies. Not sobs but definitely someone is cutting onions territory. You at least are triggered by legit bad shit. I just let my emotions be manipulated by pretty words.
But sometimes, I’m watching a movie or listening to music with my daughter and it just hits me, I’m so happy that we have better messages for girls today than we did when I was growing up. She has super heroes and equality and none of this boys will be boys shit.
This world is such shit right now, but man if we raise the next generations right maybe there’s a chance. And that tenuous hope… it makes me feel all the things… and it just leaks out.
But yeah, gotta hide it because it’s weird to care about stuff I guess.
