The lyrics criticize President Trump and include references to Alex Pretti and Renee Good, who were fatally shot by federal agents this month.

Not a chance in hell. If you listen to the song he’s channeling a lot of Woodie Guthrie energy and dragging Trump and Miller. I hope he goes on the late night shows to support this song because you know if does he’s gonna have Woodie’s graffiti on his guitar [This Machine Kills Fascists]

I hope you’re right and maybe it’s just that I haven’t gotten a chance to list yet, but the imagery “city of fire and ice” give me Tolkien vibes. We need to form an army of the free people, a coalition of dwarves, elves, and men ……

I think your underestimating how little facists actually care about truth and meaning. They will ABSOLUTELY try to play anything that they like at their nazi events, just like they tried to play Rage Against The Machine at Alt-Right rallies. They ain’t actually internalizing ANYTHING meaningful about the media they consume, they just love the aesthetics.

A play on their over-use of Born in the USA thinking it’s actually saying good things about American society. They clearly didn’t listen to the lyrics on that one either

I’ve been wondering where all the protest songs are. There should be dozens of popular ones at once like in the late 60s and early 70s. Then I realized that they are right there - where we left them.
