Nearly all of the revolutions in the history started with the same idea you mentioned. But in the end, they just changed the guy at the top of the people. In example, nikolai to lenin or, to be more precise, aristocracy to communist party.
So, IMO, the problem isn’t with someone who holds the power, the problem is with the humanity. We should change people rather than states. And again, you mentioned earlier, there is fckin 8 billion people on this planet and we can’t change all of them at the same time. The evolution is something that happens over decades. But we have to, because, if there is only one person besides the remaining 8 billion, that one guy would manipulate people and seize the power again for her/his own pleasure.
