    So we (the working and shrinking middle class) are still paying our taxes. But now our taxes are going to Argentinian ranchers, and gaudy and unnecessary ballrooms.

    Meanwhile those who are financially willing and able are helping out their family, friends, and neighbors in need to not starve. Which is basically an unofficial extra tax - on top of the extra expenses charged to us via frivolous tariffs.

    What a fucking joke. Every time I think the government can’t get any more flagrantly greedy and irresponsible, they find a way.

      No no our taxes aren’t going to the ballroom… corporations are paying for the ballroom… our taxes are going into large government contracts for those corporations to thank them for paying for the ballroom. Basically the same thing, except the ballroom will have a price tag of 500 million to 1 billion by the end of it… but the perks for the corporations will almost certainly be at least double digit billions.
