First the military parades, now this. He thinks he’s giving Napoleon energy when he’s really giving kim family energy, who have their own arch which is :

The structure is modeled after the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, but is 10 metres (33 ft) taller.

So you know this arch de trump will be 10 meters higher than Kim’s.

Trump doesn’t seem to understand that the existing presidential monuments were built posthumously and by popular opinion in order to honor exceptional leaders. His desperate attempts to plaster his name on random bullshit is pathetic. I hope once he finally kicks the bucket that we quickly rename these monuments to honor his victims. I wish he could be alive to see it.

Isn’t there some kind of protocol for if the president is unable to perform his duties due to insanity?

That reminder is daily, if not more frequently. So let’s start talking about the people who are ‘pulling the puppet’s strings’.

String pullers, and those going along with it because they think they’ll get something out of it at the cost of the country’s decline.

We’re going to need a wall. A long one.

Cai reached Trump by phone at Mar-a-Lago and asked when he expected work to begin.

“It hasn’t started yet. It starts sometime in the next two months. It’ll be great. Everyone loves it,” replied Trump. “They love the ballroom too. But they love the Triumphal Arch.”

    Super demented

Yes to this but veto to block a freshwater pipeline for 50,000 residents

(official reason: waste of taxpayer money, real reason: govnor hurt his fragile ego)

Trump’s Triumphal arch is a joke, it has no symbolism of any value, where for instance the French “Arc de triomphe de l’Étoile” has double significance as praising the success of the Napoleon army, and as a symbolic memorial place for the unknown soldier, and today it has become a historic landmark.

What Trump is doing is putting up a huge piece of garbage of no value and slab his own name on it.
It’s a cheap copy of “the original” in Paris, both in concept and design. Much like a cheap Chinese copy of a Vuitton designer piece.
Trump has no style and no class, only someone completely without any sense of either could think such a project is cool.

Triumphal arches go back to at least the Romans, so the one in Paris is nothing close to the original. It’s a copy, as well.

Hey, I’ve been reading where a couple 5 pound bags of sugar in a concrete mixer will greatly delay setting, and may or may not significantly compromise the strength. A few liters of cola may be even worse.

Is he just going to keep picking other country’s monuments he likes and make his own bootleg version of it in Washington?

Looking forward to the Trump Mahal, Sizeable Bob, Christopher the Coupon Redeemer, DC Tower and the Slanted Tower of Pizza.

Well, there was an article the other day about 13 government buildings he wanted to tear down and preservationists were fighting back, but I thought he wanted to build the arch on the Mall
