A social media post from the Department of Labor is attracting criticism for appearing to echo a Nazi-era slogan from the early 20th century.

The department posted to X on Jan. 10, “One Homeland. One People. One Heritage. Remember who you are, American.”

Dozens of users commented and reposted, expressing alarm and outrage over what they called an alarming echo of what the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum describes as one of the central slogans used by Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party. That slogan is, “One People, One Realm, One Leader.”

If you ever talk to a Nazi/hardcore racist, you’ll see they love dog whistles and inane symbology. This is exactly what they would do, like the CPAC stage being the shape of a rune. They’ve always been here snickering at what they sneaked in.

At what point will people stop being shocked? I’m really not trying to be the annoying “not surprised guy”. But, it’s been just shy of a year since we were watching a Nazi salute from one of our billionaire lords as Trump took office.

Are we gonna spend another year having surprised Pikachu reactions to every Nazi reference? We have SS troops going door to door. These posts arent rage bait. They are rallying calls.

I don’t think we’d be surprised if it was one of the obvious departments (DOD, DHS, DHHS, even what’s left of the DOE).

We just didn’t see the DOL joining in.

“Under Fire” I wish because they’re literally Nazis. Under fire is what Nazis deserve but in this instance I’m sure it means someone pointed it out and they pretended to be offended

Even if you’re a dumb shit conservative who can’t recognize obvious patterns, why is the Department of Labor posting nationalistic “patriotic” slogans? What does that have to do with labor?

A lot? Nationalism is deeply involved with labor on relation to protectionist policies and whether to have them or not. That’s not to excuse how much they’ve fucked the department in the ass though

Really bending over backward to sanewash the fascism. Protectionism is pretty far afield from touting heritage and homeland. Lots of diverse immigrant union members on board with protectionism and almost never for nationalistic reasons.

There can be no other response. We must FINISH the job. No coddling of “the good ones” or giving the ringleader new jobs in the new gov.

I want the whole lot thrown into a whole and cement poured over it.

Wtf? How am I supposed to joke about this? It’s so on the nose, it’s practically Nazi propaganda about Jewish noses.
