I’m lost. She’s beautiful is in both, and so is he. Where is the part I’m supposed to be angry about? Boobs. Huzzah!

If you’re only with someone because of their looks, then yeah you shouldn’t get married. At least not until you grow up.

As an aside, I think she still looks good in the second photo.

My husband’s comment was “that’s silly. the whole point of marriage is to grow old together.”

My theory is that men who agree with this post can’t find any woman to marry them and this is just a way of them consoling their fragile ego.

Obviously the dude is an idiot but what is his proposal?

    That you…stay a virgin forever?

Does he think you can just keep bouncing from 20 year old to 20 year old until you die? That’s not how anything works.

    Wtf.

Here’s a reminder to be a sociopath that dumps anyone once they hit 26.

Not everyone has the opportunity to love life so richly, but if you do it superficially it’s going be a shit run (and also you’d be shit too).

Find the person who makes you happy inside and return the favour.

I think the problem (among many) is he’s first not happy with himself. He knows he’s shit, but he’s not together enough to do something about it.

What sad fuck, would post “let’s take this example of rare long-lasting, happy [celebrity] marriage, and find a shallow reason to dump on it”?

I might be wrong but so many times I hear people talk about how big breast are desirable, how a big ass is desirable, how curves are great.

And then seemingly the same idiot look at women like that and talk shit… I am wondering if it is cope because they are jealous because everything else is insane.

They’ve both put on a bit of weight over the years but only one gets criticised here.

I’m sure he appreciates the bigger fun bags as a bonus. And after 25 years of marriage I don’t think either of them is staying for the other’s body anyway.

My brother here is doing it quite well. This coming from someone that has only been married to the same person for 16 years (been together 20). Regardless of the external expectations of society (which can properly fuck right off). To spend that amount of time growing together and separately as well. Some stay together, others grow apart. Some grow together and part later on. Others stay together and blossom as a unit while each developing a unique set of roots.

His wife is still very attractive, but what if she wasn’t? It wouldn’t mean a goddamn thing, would it?

Beauty may be the reason why you are attracted to a person in the first place, but it’s not at the top of the list of reasons why you stay with a person.

It’s hard for me to even imagine being that shallow.

Which makes you wonder why people even pick partners based on beauty. It would make more sense to pick them based on personality.

That being said, I value very much that my girlfriend takes care of herself even with many years in a relationship. She could easily become fat but she exercises and stays fit, and I do the same. For us its important, but its not the main reason we are together.

I suspect that humans evolved to pick partners based on beauty because beauty is an indicator of health.

Yeah on the surface level, it says genetics that will give a good looking body, and humans are attracted to beauty.

Demisexual. Yes, we do exist. From anecdotal experience it’s mostly women who are demisexuals.

Guys face social pressure to avoid certain partners based on looks that they’d otherwise be fine with.
