obligatory copypasta

Holy fucking shit. I almost was exposed to a swear word on the Internet by some asshole cunt. That bitch didn’t know it’s fucking illegal to swear on the Internet. Thank fucking god someone blurred a very small part of there of five letters making it impossible to read the word “shit”. I was about to shit a fucking brick.

fuck

edit: @[email protected] took the time to edit it to remove the censor, so I changed the image in the post to that. Thanks!

To your comment: not only that, it’s a censor of an already censored curse word, “fkn” of course meaning fucking. This is one of the more egregious censors I’ve ever seen.

It’s censored because a very specific country from which a lot of social media comes from has been created by puritans. Which even centuries later, has people repressing such basic things as sex, cursewords, nudity. Including text / graphical filters that will bury your content and show it to noone, if you don’t do it.

Bro this started in TikTok which is decidedly Chinese and not Puritan. Though it can be puritanical in the broadest sense.

Agreed, the beginning of the end of involuntary-only censorship happened when Tiktok got popular. The older generations try to find the limits of allowable content on platforms (within reason) but the younger ones effectively self-castrate everything they post everywhere. And it’s because one app owned by a Chinese company is a bit strict about it. It’s disappointing.
