I don’t think blowing on your brain would make it work like an N64

Take a strong dose of magic mushrooms and ketamine to get that experience.

Start with nitrous oxide first to get an idea of what the psychedelic headspace can be like, without having to dedicate an entire day to it. You won’t get any visuals, of course, but there’s a good reason why it’s called hippie crack.

64? I only did that for the OG NES.

Same, except for the Genesis as well. The N64 was extremely reliable. Games always booted on the first attempt and never crashed.

Yeah same but we were hooked on some crap. Breathing heavily on the cartridges does what: introduces moisture. Maybe we were destroying our games in the long term. We did feel like we got immediate results.

The NES was the only one that had defective connector design because of the side loading mechanism of the US console.

Top loading consoles NEVER needed that. I played hundreds of games across multiple top-loading consoles and never once had one not start up IMMEDIATELY the first time.

Anybody who was blowing in their SNES/N64 cartridges was insane.

Blowing on NES cartridges didn’t help either.

I mean, it didn’t help, but at least there was an impetus to be doing it. Something wasn’t working.

It helped in the sense that it got us to remove and reinsert the cartridge. However I blew into my cartridges up to N64 and would even smack them against my palm.

I’d prefer a “destress” button that would work exactly the same as the degauss button on old monitors. Just send waves of noise across my brain along with a satisfying noise and pretend it fixed something.

I dream of opening my skull up like a little music box, gently removing my brain and placing it inside a container filled with warm soapy water to soak while I watch Gumby. After an episode, I go remove my brain from the container, scrub it down with a toothbrush and unscented soap, rinse it, dry it, then plop it back inside.

The music box skull is just playing greensleeves quietly while this is happening.

I sometimes feel that way about my back. Would’ve been nice to periodically service the spine like we do with machinery.
