Could be in and out of the machine often at a site/plant that requires it outside and doesn’t bother to take it off?

The reality is that it’s probably a photoshoot

“ROPS (Roll-Over Protective Structure) and FOPS (Falling Object Protective Structure) are safety features integrated into heavy machinery to protect operators.”

For everyone else unfamiliar with those acronyms!

You do realize everyone has to wear a hard hat on a construction site by osha safety standards right?

They are above the rules. Unless you’re on one of the cranes with the security cameras

Sure it is a redundant protection but as a longtime journey level construction worker I can tell you you still have to wear a hard hat on construction sites anywhere on site

No offense but we just moved from everyone on a construction site needs one to the construction sites in your area needs one.

I wouldn’t have disagreed with you if you started with that.

I know cal osha requires everyone at all times needs a hard hat on a construction site. I don’t work small private residential cal osha may be more strict on bigger jobs but it is an osha requirement here so I assumed it was a federal osha policy. I know it was definitely covered in my osha 10 and OSHA 30 courses. I was also an instructor for my trade union and this is what is taught in the nationwide union curriculum and yes any heavy equipment we use we have to wear a hard hat while operating nationwide In my trade.

I can just imagine it now. Me, in my little hard hat, on a big ol excavator, paying no mind to the ROPS/FOPS overhead, completely safe from all the debris that wants nothing more than to crack open my noggin, excavating to my hearts content!

Oh what a day that would be!

More like, want to have the same outcome as men at 80% of the effort.

Or am I making a shitty effort meme that mimics OP? If you’re offended by this joke and not by OP, think of your own bias.

Studies have shown that males are jailed with 8:2 ratio compared to their female counterparts!

We demand equal prison female population for equal criminal efforts! Just because I’m a woman, does not make me an inferior criminal! lmao…!

We’re not a monolith but I am aware of some facts about us, like we’re statistically more likely to have shorter hair and take more dangerous jobs and commit violence—none of which offend me although the third one is incredibly disappointing.

I believe I can see where you’re coming from. That said I would be interested in reading a bit more about your perspective on why this meme attacks men. Thank ya

Lets take the worst black man in the world, and then apply his actions to the whole… Lets take the worst woman in the world, and then apply her actions to the whole… Lets take the worst… You get the idea. The lack of nuance in arguments is why a lot women think that men are all totally safe walking home at night. Worse, they think they are at great danger walking home at night, when the statistics say that they are in FAR more danger when they get home. And thats with underreporting of violence in the home.

I mean, men are also victims 81% of the time according to the UNODC. We get 100% of the blame for the crimes, but 0% of the outcry for being the victims of that crime. And everyone seems real fucking comfortable being bigoted as fuck when it comes to men. And the actual number is 91% of violent crimes is done by men, but the % of men that are violent criminals is between 0.3 and 0.6%. So 100% of men globally endure hate and bigotry because of the actions of less than 1% of the total. Does that sound like “punching up” to you?

Replace “men” with just about any protected class, and this statistic with another one that reflezcts comparably on that group.

Is it really punching up though? The victim complex is part of the bias, jackass.

Although it might have been funnier to make it 20% effort.
