And because of all my family members and neighbors with their ring cameras and Alexa microphones. It’s ridiculous.
Is that the House from American Football’s American Football?
Relevant video I saw posted elsewhere on Lemmy today.
Tl;dw: Flock cameras are alarmingly easily hackable and many of their security and efficacy claims on their website are outright false.
I used to get this real bad. Couldn’t leave the flat most days. I’d have my coat and shoes on, and would keep approaching the door and just couldnt leave. Sometimes I’d think I could hear footsteps in the hallway, and would have to wait by the peephole for a couple of minutes, then lose my nerve and go back to work up the courage to approach the door again. Just unable to open the door and break the seal between safety and exposure.
Seek help if you have the option. It doesnt get better on its own.
One time I ate a mushroom I found growing on my bath mat and the sky looked just like this.
Living in a city be like:
You mean because of people watching? I get this so much worse in the village than in the city, because village folks will remember and talk about your patterns, while city folks won’t.
Because of cameras everywhere. And now I understand the meme.
Yeah I got that that’s what the meme is about, but thought the comment might be about nosy humans anyway.
Just remember “If you aren’t doing anything wrong you have nothing to hide” /S
…/s?
Maybe put some clothes on.
A panopticon is like a big loving hug for everybody at once

I also feel like this when leaving the house sponsored by Flock Safety.
