Crises used to be rare. Remember when minor celebrity drama dominated the news cycle for weeks at a time because there was nothing else worth reporting? Now crazy shit’s happening daily, to the point scandals that would have been career-destroying just a decade prior are buried and forgotten within days.

I’d just like to have a bit of time that isn’t miserable and awful. Seems like since 2012 every day is a new episode of “Oh what fresh hell is this?”
And it just keeps getting worse. 2012 it was just “republicans are being assholes on twitter”.
Today it’s “The government is actively killing people, and sending them to camps for going against their agenda”.
