Until quite recently, many Big Tech firms opposed the militarization of AI, but that now seems like ancient history as they move to sign partnerships with arms companies. The prospect of lavish Pentagon funding for AI is too tempting to refuse.

Plus, the Pentagon is used to paying exorbitant amounts for stuff that doesn’t work as promised. They’re a perfect customer.

It’s likely they’re all on what ever immortality/youth serum quack “scientists” are currently selling. Virgin blood transfusions like that dying looking billionaire bloke is doing with his son.
They’ve sat on it for a while before it became clear they can do it no problem.
