As of a month or two ago, any time I see a post that’s so thoroughly unfunny that it brings down the average quality of all Lemmy posts, I don’t even need to check the community. It’s always this one. Why is that? What happened here? It didn’t used to be like this.
Apart from that, 90% of the contributions on this platform are made by a handful of people. If you don’t like what you see, block one or two of them. Or post something yourself to deplete it.
Shitposting is, by definition, low quality. That’s the point. If you don’t like it on your feed, then perhaps it’s time to block the content you don’t want to see.
That or try it out. Post something silly and dumb sometime and don’t take it so seriously.
