Naturally, it’s Ankylosaurus. Just look at this armoured tactical turtle and tell me you do not love this silly little guy!
Just wanting to eat his plants. Wanna gnaw on him? Tough luck, it hurts and you cannot crack that shell. Also, he will fucking break your kneecaps with his built-in hammer while you’re bothering him.
Spirit animal.
Yer mum
Harpy eagle

Apparently Pterodactyls aren’t Dinosaurs :(
Also, I think this belongs here: https://www.theguardian.com/science/2025/oct/23/dinosaurs-asteroid-struck-research
The lad with the thagomizer. Because of the thagomizer.
Stegosaurs! For those who don’t know how the name came about, look it up if you’d like a chuckle.
Chicken. It tastes good.
Ankylosaurus is a strong contender. Really strong contender. But stegosaurus is still MVP.
The little tiny raptor things. I don’t remember what they’re called.
Compys! Or Compsognathus if you’re not into the whole brevity thing.
This thread is the best booster-pack.
Titanosaurs! 100+ feet long, 100+ tonnes. Imagine if a blue whale had legs and a long neck. And it walked around. We would be like mice to them, or insects to the largest ones.
Denver, the Last Dinosaur
He’s my friend and a whole lot more!
Camarasaurus, because I found a tooth of one while volunteering on a dig site

how big was it? (the tooth)
Camarasaurus has large teeth for a Sauropod. They are like little shovels. This one was worn down quite a bit, so the Paelo on site said it was likely an older adult:

You can see a skull of one here for reference:

That skull looks like a cockpit. Is it missing pieces? Seems like it would not protect well.
Full skulls from Saurpods are fairly rare, since they are so fragile. They are huge animals though. Camarasaurus was much taller than the largest predator at the time (Allosaurus). They were up to like 70 feet long, and 30ish tons. Allosaurus was 30 feet long (still long), but only 2-3 tons. A full grown Camarasaurus would probably just fine. Young ones would be very vulnerable (but they did grow SUPER fast compared to mammals)
That is truly AWESOME!
Thank you for sharing
It was very exciting. I’m hoping to do more volunteering of that sort again.
I wonder what it tastes like.
Therazinosaurus. What even is this thing? Look at this big pokey boi:

Looks like a herbivore who discovered a love for really fresh ham.
I grew up with this even weirder reconstruction:

For a second I thought you’re saying that you grew up with this guy lol
Yeah, we had a Spanish class together in 9th grade.
Tickle chicken!! This guy is my favorite second only to true dilophosaur which was much larger than the Jurassic park depiction and probably didn’t have the frill or acid spit because it was the largest predator in it’s area.
What if those giant claws were webbed and it was actually some kind of weird prehistoric duck waddling around everywhere.
They’re so doofy. I love them.
I mean is this really necessary.
Triceratops. The only thing wrong with rhinos are that they have too few horns and not enough armor plating.
There was a monoceratops. Hell, there were ceratopsians who didn’t have horns at all.

Pachycephalosaurus the thick headed one
I always thought they’d sound like coconuts when they rammed together.
The head knocking matches those things must have had within their species would have been insane! Like goats, only like, a hundred goats per goat.
Edit: Apparently, they were not that big, so maybe only like two handfuls of goats. Which is still a lot of goats.
Wonder if there were fainting Pachycephalosaurs. :)
I bet these things probably had some really cool brain protection similar to how today’s woodpeckers do.
Woodpeckers use their tongue for padding. I’m always in wonder when I hear one go off, sounds like a Warthog laying down fire.
Could I interest you in a Micropachycephalosaurus? It’s like a Pachycephalosaurus, but fun sized!
I always appreciate a smaller sized version of my favorites
I like the triceratops. Having three pointy bits makes it 50% more awesome than rhinos.
Unicorns are even lower on the list then?
Yes, and lets not get started on regular horses.
Still beats the stupid long horse…
Just wait until you hear about
StyrofoamosaurusStyracosaurus!
