Part of me thinks that they wouldn’t be stupid enough to have the Grok available to the public as the same one they will be using at the Pentagon. Like, the same servers that the consumers get to use and all that. Another part of me thinks they are stupid enough to do that and it’ll only take a few weeks until people start getting Grok to share battle plans on twitter.

It’s not like constantly training or like remembering everything everyone else says, right? It’s not some consciousness in a server, just a model to run when someone asks for it.

This is the dumbest timeline. Instead of Skynet, we get the retweeted version that will kill us all by accident because “Big Balls” asked it to takeout Taco Bell and instead of sending a drone or robot through the drive through, it decided to nuke every Taco Bell on earth.

…it decided to nuke every Taco Bell on earth…

Thus saving the remaining human population from ever having to suffer consuming Taco Bell again…

In other news today, Yum Brands, of Taco Bell fame, purchased Grok along with its subsidiary, The Pentagon, which it has renamed “The Five-Layered Burrito” or “FLB” for short. Yum Brands celebrated its acquisition by using the FLB to launch a new ad campaign by bombing the words “Live Más” across ISIS-controlled territory in Iraq. The death toll was significant, with collateral damage involving several schools, mosques, hospitals and one orphanage, but investor confidence is high as share prices rose 10% for the day, reflecting increased sales in the region.

This week, Meta (FB) appointed a GOP shill as VP in charge of Government procurement/relations. AI can avoid a bubble even if its models cannot make money from business and consumers if military/surveillance/ICE give them all your money.

Nothing mentioned in post for how US military will secure communications with big tech closed models.
