While immigration officers support the Trump administration’s goal of deporting undocumented migrants, many of them have grown ‘disillusioned’ with leadership’s tactics, according to reports

Morale is “plummeting” among federal law enforcement officers tasked with carrying out the Trump administration’s aggressive anti-immigration operation, as they complained that long hours, ambitious arrest quotas and hatred from the public, according to reports.

While officers at Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Patrol, overseen by the Department of Homeland Security, said they supported the administration’s goal of deporting undocumented migrants, many of them have grown “disillusioned” with the tactics being implemented by leadership.

More than 20 current and former immigration officials told The New York Times of their discontent in the hours following the fatal shooting of 37-year-old nurse Alex Pretti by a federal agent in Minneapolis.

It was the second deadly shooting of a U.S. citizen carried out by a federal agent in weeks, as officers clashed with protesters following intense public anger over the violence in Minneapolis.

And are they gonna make it loke a Vietnam veteran flick from the 80s? Except have them opening fire onto people holding milkshakes or something? Or maybe edit it to make it like they were under heavy machine gun fire and took massive casualties while their humane and PC leader from afar told them not to do anything before they went ‘fuck it! Enough with this woke shit!’ And returned fire after half their unit was dead?

They are not the gestapo, they are the SA. The gestapo have their origins in pre-Kaiser Germany to prevent socialist uprising BECAUSE OF COURSE IT WAS!

Hey, ICE agents. A really good way to permanently solve your morale problem would be if you hanged yourselves. All the problems you’ve caused yourselves, your families, your communities, and this nation would be over. Please, do it. You are all unloved and untouchables. You will never be so again. It’d be easy. Google can even teach you how to tie a noose.

You ICE agents might as well do it now before society brings its revenge on you. It’d be less painful.

I don’t fully buy this. All the gravy seals “militia” guys that we saw in 2018-2022 are just stoked to have a job that pays them for their LARPing now.

Can’t they all just go back to their paramilitary shacks/camps in the woods where they will train even more to protect themselves and the citizens against a tyrannical government? Can’t they? Don’t they know they’ve been fooled into helping the tyrannical government? Don’t they? /s

Considering the ICE agents of today are going to be this administration’s patsies of tomorrow, I’d argue that not even Trump and his cronies love these fools. They’re a means to an end.

Stephen Miller probably sees them as pure cannon fodder and would love nothing less than a wholesale massacre of those bastards so he can have an excuse to talk about how much he personally needs to be dictator.

If you are one of those people criticising peaceful protest as “not enough” this is proof it does something. It may not be enough on its own, but despite everything, they’re people and they suffer from repeated, massed, loud criticism and insults. This is the mechanism through which peaceful protests can work.

Is it the peaceful protest or the surge in searches for “stand your ground” and “castle doctrine” tacked on to being kicked out of hotels and restaurants?

Also, it’s very important to be numerous and visible. Most people feel the need to follow the herd and go along with whatever the majority is doing, to a greater or lesser extent. Very few people will act in isolation. Protests are a show of numbers, and that makes a huge difference in helping people to contribute in still greater numbers. Just as it erodes morale on one side, it boosts it on the other. And if in the end, the situation must devolve into violent confrontation, those numbers will make all the difference.

Peaceful protests and don’t sell anyone associated with ICE any food until they die of starvation, peacefully.

Seriously though, I think businesses refusing service to ICE is a powerful form of protest, even if they don’t starve.
